When baking & typography cross paths…

30 May

I like to bake quite often, and one of my specialities is gingy bread, Im often on the search for unusual or very specific shapes, on my latest search for an ‘A’ for Aarons 30th, I came across these Helvetica cookie cutters – made by Beverly Hsu , I think they’re pretty sweet! It was actually very coincidental when I came across these, as it wasn’t long after I had watched a documentary on Helvetica (may sounds very boring I know, but it was actually very interesting how much of it is out there), so taking Helvetica to yet another level – type you can eat!

Colour your Friday!

26 May

The other day a friend at work was putting together a colour mood board, and the gorgeous colours she had chosen, reminded me of how fond I am of the above colour palette, looking at the colours I just realised how much they appear in my life, I have been wearing alot of my ‘PMS2735′ coat, my favourite Kit nail polish in Big Bang is ‘PMS 2395′, I’ve recently bought 2 great pairs of wedge heels and boots which both match ‘PMS2735′ and ’PMS 2395′, Muska & Elvis revolve around ‘PMS381′, and I recently bought a scarfie in between ‘PMS381 & PMS 129′, and ‘PMS 422′, well you have to always love grey marle, Im actually wearing grey marle right now, and YES I do see things around me in PMS colours, sad I know…. (but more to come on this). Anyways just to prove how good this colour palette Ive put together my own mood board of ‘things’ around (which I would also live to have hehehehe). Enjoy your Friday, cant wait for the weekend x

Owl Obsession

25 May

Hmmm not only do I love a bit of wrap & ribbon, I have a bit of an owl obsession too, not only do they feature on a few of my card designs, they feature throughout my apartment (images to come soon) … on the shelves, on the walls, on my clothes and in my jewellery and accessories…. don’t get me wrong Im not a crazy owl lady! I just you know love a little bit of owl…. Anyways my latest owl purchase is my Grumpy Melbourne Owl brooch from Tiger & Hare. I think he is perfect to wear today with the grumpy, windy wet weather we are having in Sydney today! I also came across the Owl & the Pussy Cat! Enjoy your Wintery, windy , wet day Sydney siders……

Wrap me up!

24 May

I have a thing for wrapping paper, and the way things are wrapped – personally I love brown paper wrapped with a simple grosgrain ribbon, or some butchers twine, but I also like wrapping with an awesome design all over, a present being wrapped up in gorgeous illustration! Today I came across on  lalaland shopwww.lalalandshop.com.au – Rainbow Land wrap by Nikki Catalano, I have admired and purchased some of her illustrations and cards around Sydney, I think her illustrations on wrap is a fab idea!
